The Project Soapbox workshop was originally designed by the Mikva Challenge Foundation, a non- profit organization which prioritizes civic leadership in under served Chicago High School youth.
From the Mikva Challenge website:
"Project Soapbox is a week-long curriclum that has students develop and deliver a speech on an issue about which they feel passionately. The curriculum takes them through the stages of identifying qualities of a good speech, structuring a speech, using rhetorical devices and qualities of effective speech delivery. Students then participate in a speech competition."
